Meet Gini
Personal Profile
Hi, I’m Virginia Dragoslavic—though most know me simply as Gini. My journey into the art of pâtisserie began with a simple yet profound goal: to bring joy to others through creativity. Over the years, that goal evolved into a passion for crafting edible works of art that make life’s moments truly unforgettable. From my earliest inspirations to world-class training, every step of my journey has been guided by the belief that a cake should be as extraordinary as the celebration it graces.

My Early Inspiration
When I was in 6th grade, my dad asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. Without hesitation, I answered, “create.” That moment planted the seed for a lifelong passion for making others smile. I soon discovered that I could marry my love of art with the joys of baking—and from that realization, my path became clear.
A World-Class Education
My formal training began at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, where I immersed myself in the fine art of pâtisserie. I then traveled to France to study at the prestigious École Ducasse in Yssingeaux, a charming town in the French Alps. My time there deepened my appreciation for traditional techniques and the artistry behind them.
To refine my craft, I trained under world-renowned sugar artist Maggie Austin, where I fell in love with creating lifelike, hand-crafted sugar flowers. This skill has become a signature element of my designs.
